Richardi was not confronted as his gazelle approached the object… which turned out to be a black metal disk with a eight hangar-like openings, four along the periphery, four on the inside. He followed one of the retreating fighters into on of those along the periphery.
He bounced his Gazelle as the gravity reversed 180 degrees, but managed to bring it down properly with minimal damage in a huge hanger… filled with tanks, fighters, and ships with guns trained on him.
He got out of his ship and walked over to talk to someone…
He was met by Chief Dick, who after some tentative, probing conversation invited Richardi in to see the place… and to tell him about it.
Red Sky Station (as the place is called) is apparently a pre-Maghiz Darrian space station. Abandoned by it’s creators and stripped of valuables; it still functions, providing gravity and atmosphere capable of supporting human life in this otherwise impossible environment.
Eventually Doctor Nitar comes down to the surface as well, and he and Commander Holland negotiate a deal whereby they essentially join the “coalition” that uses and protects the station.
Orkin heads back to Drs Rock and sends Vud with the stealth ship to Red Sky Station. Orkin was supposed to come back too… but didn’t show up!
Xi leaves Vud in charge of Sir Doctor Benjamin Crest, Baronet… who is told he will have to wait… and returns to Drs. Rock.
Richardi Holland remains on the Old Darrian station, fascinated by it all.
